The event hosted by the Dubai World Trade Center, organized by the “Emirates Loves Philippines” page in cooperation with the Dubai Police, in the presence of a large public, as it attracted more than 40 thousand people, from the people of the Philippine community residing in the country, in an atmosphere that reflected the close relations between the two countries and the two friendly peoples.
In his speech at the beginning of the festive, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan congratulated the people of the Philippine community residing on the 127th anniversary of the independence of their country. the world.
His Excellency added: This day does not only immortalize your independence, but also embodies your steadfast spirit, your deep sense of society, and your constant optimism. It is a day of pride and pride, and you have all the right to celebrate it.
He stressed that the UAE is proud of its close relationship with the Philippine Republic, as she is a close friend and a trusted partner, and he said: Over the decades, and throughout our country, he left hundreds of thousands of the sons and daughters of the Philippine community, which are stigmatized in various sectors.
His Excellency pointed out that knowledge, skills, creativity and sympathy enjoyed by the people of the Philippine community has positively affected the fields of health care, education, hospitality, financial services, entrepreneurship, arts, etc., and pointed out that geography may differentiate between our two countries, but what unites us from common values - such as tolerance, openness, mutual respect and belief in human dignity – makes our relationship a solid and inspiring model.

His Excellency added: In this spirit of unity, integration and celebration, I would like to share with you a new national initiative close to my heart, and he explained that as Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and in partnership with the “Fund of the Nation”, I recently launched a national written competition entitled: “Our Life in the Emirates.”
His Excellency stated that this initiative, which is in line with the slogan “Society”, represents an invitation addressed to everyone who lives on the land of the state – from citizens and residents, young and old, students and professionals – to participate in their stories and voices.
He indicated that this competition calls on the participants to express what life represents them in the UAE, through a short story, poem, message, article, or any other creative form, in Arabic or English.
His Excellency expressed his confidence that some of the most influential and sincere participants come from the Philippine community, from those who came carrying dreams, and built a future, from fathers and mothers who educate their children, and from nurses, nurses, teachers, engineers, artists and creators in various fields.
He stressed that the stories of the Philippine community are important, and that the Emirati society in all its components would like to hear it.
