95% of Dubai hotels during the “Eid” holiday … and 100% in beach resorts

Dubai hotels recorded strong occupancy levels during the Eid al -Adha holiday for this year, with a ratio of 100% in beach resorts, and 95% in hotels operating in various regions of the city, according to officials working in the hospitality sector.

Hotel managers confirmed to «Emirates Today» that the emirate established its position as a first global tourist destination, attracting millions of visitors from around the world throughout the months of the year, noting that the prices of hotel rooms rose during the Eid holiday compared to the same period last year, and they made it clear that this growth reflects the high demand for staying in Dubai, driven by the attractiveness of hotel offers and the advanced status of the emirate on the emirate’s global tourism map

In detail, the regional director of the “Hayat Hotels Group” in Dubai, the general manager of the Grand Hayat Hotel, Fathi Khojali, said that “the group’s occupancy rate of the group in Dubai during the Eid al -Adha holiday amounted to about 95%, while hotels and resorts overlooking the beach and the coast recorded almost complete occupancy rates, in some cases reached 100%.”

Khojali added: “We witnessed this year an increasing demand that was clearly reflected in the high prices of hotel rooms compared to Eid al -Adha last year, and this trend reflects the market confidence and performance strength, even in light of the continued entry of new hotel facilities to the market.”

He stressed that «Dubai today is an integrated global tourist destination and attracts millions of visitors from various markets throughout the year, including the summer, which makes it a favorite station for travelers looking for diversity, quality and luxury», indicating that the performance during the Eid holiday exceeded expectations.

For his part, the CEO of the “Sofitel Dubai The Obilisk” hotel, Haitham Omar, stressed that “the work rate in the hotel during the Eid al -Adha holiday reached 95%, which is a higher percentage of about 10% compared to the past year in terms of the occupancy rate and the average room price as well.”

Omar pointed out that the strong demand was not limited to hotels near the shopping centers or the city center, but also included beach resorts that recorded a record rate of 100%occupancy, which is a direct indication of the high attractiveness of Dubai as a global hotel destination.

He added that «the hotel performance in Dubai is very strong and approximately our expectations, and reflects the emirate’s position as a pioneering tourist center in the region and the world, thanks to the great diversity it provides in the tourism product and global -level entertainment options and the first -class tourism infrastructure».

And that the offers offered by the hotel market during the Eid al -Adha holiday, reflect the flexibility of the hotel sector in Dubai and its willingness to create services that keep pace with peak seasons, and provide added value to visitors, whether from inside or outside the country.

In the same context, Wael Al -Bahi, general manager of the “Cophornen Hotel”, explained that “the work rate in the hotel reached 82% during the Eid holiday, driven by the request from domestic tourism mainly.”

Al -Bahi said: “The hotel market in Dubai continues to achieve strong performance in various indicators, whether in terms of occupancy rates or average prices, despite the entry of thousands of new rooms to the market annually, which reflects the sustainability of demand and the expansion of the visitors base constantly due to the attractiveness of Dubai tourism.”

He pointed out that the beach resorts in Dubai during occasions and holidays usually record occupancy rates of up to 100%, pointing out that Dubai today embraces more than 154 thousand hotel rooms, distributed between five -star, medium and economic facilities, which gives them the ability to meet various segments of visitors, from families to individual travelers, recreational tourism and business tourism alike.

In addition, the CEO of “Carlton” hotels, Hosni Abdel -Hadi, stressed that “the occupancy rate in the group’s hotels during the Eid holiday amounted to 85%, which is largely driven by domestic tourism.”

He added: «The hotel market in Dubai launched integrated offers and packages targeting families and residents, and included discounts on stay and meals, which helped attract a wide segment of local customers.

He explained that “the prices of hotels during the Eid al -Adha holiday were at the levels of approximately for the past year, with a slight increase in some facilities that witnessed an exceptional turnout.”

Abdel -Hadi said: “The strong performance of hotels during the Eid holiday reflects Dubai’s position as one of the most competitive tourist destinations in the world.

In a related context, the general manager of the “Media Rotana Dubai” hotel, Sherif Madkour, said that “Dubai hotels recorded occupancy rates since the beginning of the year, during the Eid al -Adha holiday, with the support of the high demand, especially from the local market and the Gulf markets, which acquired the largest share of guests.”

Madkour added: “We registered full occupancy during Eid al -Adha, driven by the high demand for local residencies and family packages, and we look at a promising summer full of high -end experiences and unforgettable memories.”

He continued: «Dubai remains one of the most prominent tourist destinations, thanks to its advanced infrastructure and the diversity of entertainment, shopping and culture options. The city also combines modernity and originality, making it an ideal haven for families and travelers from around the world. Dubai continues to establish its position as the first option for both domestic and external tourism. ”

He stressed that the Eid holiday is one of the important seasonal periods, which contribute to enhancing the performance of the hotel sector, noting that many families prefer to spend holidays in Dubai, because they provide hotel and tourism options that suit various economic levels and social groups.

Madkour said: “The indicators of the hotel sector showed that the occupancy rates ranged between 95 and 100% in most of the emirate’s hotels, especially beach hotels, and those close to the shopping centers, in light of a great turnout by families, from inside and outside the state, to spend the Eid holiday.”
