The high rate of inflation in Mexico to the highest level in 6 months

Mexico City on June 10/ WAM/ The inflation rate in Mexico increased last May, reaching its highest level in six months.
The Mexican National Institute for Statistics and Geography stated that the consumer price index increased during May by 4.42 % annually, after increasing 3.93 % during April.
The institute’s data showed that the basic inflation rate, which excludes the most volatile goods such as food and energy, to 4.06% during the past month compared to 3.93% during the previous month.
Food and beverage prices increased by 5.08% annually, while housing and facilities prices increased by 4.47%, and health services prices increased by 4.79% annually.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices in Mexico increased last May by 0.28%, compared to an increase of 0.33% per month during the month of April.
