Collaborate "Association of Journalists" and"Zayed University" To qualify media students

Dubai, June 11/ WAM/ The UAE Journalists Association signed a cooperation agreement with Zayed University, aimed at building a strategic partnership in vocational training and developing press skills among students and those interested in media work.

The agreement comes based on the keenness of the two sides to qualify young cadres, students and graduates, and enable them to keep pace with the changes in the modern media scene, and to benefit from the technical capabilities provided by the digital transformation in the content industry.

The agreement was signed, Fadila Al -Muaini, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Journalists Association, and Dr. Michael Alan, Acting President of Zayed University, in the presence of a number of members of the Board of Directors.

Fadila Al -Muaini said that the aim of the partnership is to provide a stimulating training environment that supports the media students’ march, and refine them cognitively and professionally according to the mechanisms of the labor market, noting that cooperation with Zayed University is an important step in the path of cooperation between educational institutions and media bodies, in a way that enhances the efficiency of national cadres and supports aspirations towards influential and committed to the values ​​of the profession.

According to the agreement, the UAE Journalists Association will receive students of Zayed University at its media creativity center, for practical training within an integrated environment supervised by a group of media professionals and specialized trainers, providing them with opportunities to develop skills in the fields of preparation and presentation of programs, and production of “podcast”, photography, video, editing, and design, using the latest tools and techniques of digital work.

The agreement also provides for the implementation of joint projects between the two sides in the fields of media, which includes organizing applied workshops, advanced training courses, academic discussions that highlight the most important professional challenges and transformations in the media industry at the local and international levels, which allows the integration of academic aspects with applied, and promoting students and researchers to active participation in production
