Sponsored "Trends" Cambridge University organizes a global workshop to enhance the flexibility of the supply chains of agricultural food

Abu Dhabi, June 13 / WAM / The Industrial Flexibility Research Group at Cambridge University organized its third workshop on the flexibility of the supply chains of agricultural food, at the university’s manufacturing institute, with the participation of representatives of international institutions and leading companies in the agricultural and industrial sector, as well as experts in public policies and innovation, under the patronage of the Trends Center for Research and Consulting.
The workshop came within the framework of global efforts to meet the challenges arising from geopolitical transformations and climate change, with the aim of reformulating diets to ensure their sustainability and ability to adapt.
A group of decision makers, experts, industry leaders and innovators from around the world discussed three pivotal questions related to exploring innovative solutions to enhance sustainable production, improving supply chains’ efficiency to ensure food arrival, and enhance responsible consumption patterns.
The speakers touched on four decisive dimensions to enhance the elasticity of food systems, which are to maintain the nutritional value through supply chains, ensure the continuity of production despite global disturbances, and the ability to cost by providing innovative financing models to make sustainable food within the reach of everyone, and access to technology to achieve justice in the distribution of food.
For two days, speakers offered their experiences and reviewed new solutions to enhance flexibility in global food systems.
