The Emirati Publishers Association participates in the Rio International Book Fair

Rio de Janeiro on June 13/ WAM/ The Emirati Publishers Association participates in the Rio International Book Fair, which started today and will continue until June 22, as part of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Rio de Janeiro, which is crowned the World Book Capital for 2025.
The association also participates in the same period in the sixth professional forum organized by the Brazilian Chamber of Book and represented by the publisher Amira Boukdara, the institutional partner of the library and publications of “Ghaf”, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, which participates in a table dedicated to publishing rights.
Participation aims to provide an opportunity for Emirati publishers to meet buyers and professionals in the sector and scheduling bilateral meetings aimed at expanding the attendance of Emirati publication in the Portuguese -speaking markets.
The association also participates in the International Publishers Summit organized by the National Publishers Syndicate in Brazil and the group of publishing experts around the world is gathered to discuss central issues such as publishing technology, audio books, promoting reading and empowering women.
The association also registered its attendance at the “Blash Her” summit, which is held in cooperation with the Publishers Syndicate and witnesses dialogue sessions that review the stories of women’s success in making the book and the challenges facing women’s leaders in publishing with the participation of influential women in the sector of different generations.
These posts reflect the ability of the Emirati publishing sector to build cultural bridges with the world and affirm the association’s commitment to open new horizons for local publishers to exchange experiences with their counterparts from different continents and establish promising relations with one of the most important publishing markets in South America.
The association’s participation in Rio de Janeiro comes after a successful participation at the Boinos Aires International Book Fair 2025, which was held from April 24 to May 12.
During the event, the association’s delegation held a series of meetings with senior officials in the publishing and culture sector in Argentina, which included the exhibition’s board of directors and officials of publishing societies, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture, and Sabal was discussed to enhance bilateral cultural cooperation and exchange of participations in international exhibitions and initiatives.
