A child falls from a vehicle led by his mother in Dubai

A five -year -old child was injured after he fell from a car that was driving his mother in Dubai when he opened the door suddenly while it was walking, according to the assistant commander of the Agency for Operations Affairs in Dubai Police, Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, who stressed the need to adhere to the general safety requirements to protect children from falling accidents from cars, the most important of which is the connection of the seat belt.

Al -Mazrouei said that the child was accompanied by his mother inside the vehicle, and while she was walking, one of the doors suddenly opened without his mother’s attention, which led to his fall from the vehicle on the main road, and he was scattered by several bruises and moderate wounds.

He added that the vehicle was traveling at a relatively low speed, which helped reduce the child’s injury, indicating that the ambulance teams arrived at the site as soon as the report was received, and he was transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary medical care.

Al -Mazrouei stressed the importance of adhering to the general safety requirements for children in vehicles, to avoid their exposure to accidents or injuries whose lives are at risk, pointing to the need to use the seats designated for children in vehicles, verify the linking of safety belts, and not sitting in the front seats, and ensuring that the doors are closed in a tight manner before starting, and activating the “security lock” in the back doors.

He pointed to the importance of attention to children’s actions in the back seats while driving, monitoring windows and verifying that children do not open them or remove any part of their bodies from them, in addition to not leaving them alone in vehicles, especially with high temperatures, so that they are not exposed to the risk of suffocation.

Al Mazrouei stressed the importance of traffic awareness among members of society, including drivers and parents, because of this important role in promoting traffic safety and reducing accidents, noting that Dubai Police is continuing their awareness and field efforts in cooperation with strategic partners, to reduce accidents related to neglecting safety requirements and preserving the safety of lives.
