Mango Festival 2025 will start June 27 in Expo Khorfakkan

Sharjah, June 18 / WAM / The activities of the fourth session of the annual Mango Festival 2025, organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will start in cooperation with the municipal council of Khor Fakkan and the municipality of Khor Fakkan in the Expo Khorfakkan Center during the period from 27 to 29 June with the wide participation of farmers from various emirates of the country and a number of companies specialized in the agricultural sector and productive families.
The festival, which comes this year under the slogan “Mango our fruit is our wealth”, aims to enhance the status of the eastern region as a distinct agricultural destination and support the local economy by empowering farmers and productive families and upgrading the quality of local agricultural products and its sustainable cultivation methods in addition to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the state and supporting the targets of the national strategy for food security 2051.
The event will include a display of more than 150 types of luxurious local mangoes, as well as organizing a number of qualitative competitions for which valuable prizes were monitored in addition to heritage and cultural events and a group of guidance programs that aim to raise the quality of local agricultural production and exchange experiences between farmers and specialists.
In its first day, the festival witnesses the organization of the “Mango Manda” competition, in which participation is required for production to be locally from a farm or the participant’s garden, with the proof of the ownership of the land or the home, and that only one type of mango be presented and that it is free of injuries and defects and that the size be appropriate and consistent, as the winning posts are subject to the field examination by the jury.
The activities include on the second day of the exhibition the organization of the “most beautiful mango basket” competition for families and it is required to participate in it that the basket be a manual work without exaggeration in the decorations and it is not allowed to participate in more than one basket. The activities of the last day for children are allocated through the “most beautiful agricultural video” competition directed to the age group from 7 to 12 years.
It also continues throughout the festival days, “The Best Parking Competition for Farmers”, which requires that production be local and that the corner contains at least five mango varieties, in addition to the presence of the corner owner throughout the event. The evaluation depends on a public questionnaire.
