Abdullah bin Zayed meets the Mexican Minister of Economy
Mexico City on June 19 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with the Marcelo Luis Eftrar, the Mexican Minister of Economy, as part of a working visit by His Highness to Mexico City.
During the meeting, the bilateral relations between the two countries were reviewed, and ways to enhance them in the economic and investment fields, in addition to discussing the opportunities available to expand cooperation in a number of vital sectors such as energy, advanced technology, and food security.
During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the depth of Emirati Mexican relations, and the keenness to build an economic partnership that supports their common interests, and contributes to achieving comprehensive development and sustainable economic prosperity in both countries.
In addition, in the framework of the work visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Investment in the UAE and the Ministry of Economy in the United States of Mexican on investment cooperation between the two countries.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al -Zyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and His Excellency Marcelo Luis Eftrar, the Mexican Minister of Economy.
A memorandum of understanding has also been signed between the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the UAE and the Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology, regarding the establishment of the joint UAE joint Mexican Business Council.
The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Saeed Mubarak Al -Hajri, Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs, and His Excellency Sergio Contreras, CEO of the Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology.
The reference conditions were signed to negotiate a comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the UAE and the United States of Mexican, signed by His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al -Zyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and His Excellency Marcelo Luis Ibrarard, the Mexican Minister of Economy.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Reem Bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al -Zyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, His Excellency Saeed Mubarak Al -Hajri, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic and Commercial Affairs, and His Excellency Salem Rashid Al Owais, State Ambassador to the United States of Mexican.
