The season of “warfare” strengthens feelings of belonging and harmony among members of society

Al Wasl Club affirmed its full support for the “Walfa” season and the sublime content it carries that contribute to consolidating feelings of belonging and harmony among members of society, and strengthening family and social ties, reflecting the spirit of the cohesive Emirati society.
The club stated: “In line with the principles of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, and in belief in the objectives of the “Walafah” season as a pioneering community initiative aimed at strengthening family ties and celebrating Emirati community and cultural events, in a way that contributes to reviving the local cultural heritage, highlighting authentic Emirati values, and consolidating Dubai’s position as a global city that embraces the concepts of tolerance, Coexistence and respect for different cultures. Based on Al Wasl Club’s keenness to keep pace with all national and community initiatives and events launched by the wise leadership in the United Arab Emirates in general, and the Emirate of Dubai in particular, the club affirms its full support for the “Walfa” season and the sublime implications it carries that contribute to consolidating feelings of belonging and harmony among members of society, and strengthening family and social ties, in a way that reflects the spirit of the cohesive Emirati society.
Al Wasl Club stated that it is proud of its active participation in this initiative, in confirmation of its societal role, and its constant keenness to be a partner in initiatives that enhance national identity, support community cohesion, and contribute to building a cohesive society based on noble human values.
The “Wafah” season celebrates the occasions of the night of the middle of Sha’ban (“Haqq al-Laila”), the holy month of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, and Eid al-Adha, which are occasions in which traditions and cultural identity are embodied, and express the spiritual aspect and rhythm of life in the UAE and the Islamic world, and in which the main pillars of “Wafah” are evident, “meditation, interconnectedness, and blessing.” These occasions are linked to distinctive customs that reflect their social and spiritual depth, which is what makes “Wafah” a state of joy. Harmony and affection bring together individuals and societies.
