The family of the Moroccan artist and media, Kawthar Bodraja, expressed her strong condemnation of what was circulated through a number of digital platforms and social media about the news of her death, describing it as “a false rumor that is unfounded.”

In an official statement, the family confirmed that a powder is still alive, but it is going through a careful health problem, and is currently undergoing a recovery period inside a private hospital under the supervision of a specialized medical staff, after health complications that were recently suffered.

The family expressed its deep regret for the negative psychological impact and the strong trauma left by the artist’s audience and friends, denouncing what she described as “irresponsible behavior in promoting false news that affects dignity and respect, especially in light of a sensitive health condition.”

The statement stressed that the family reserves its full right to resort to the judiciary to hold accountable everyone who contributed to the spread of this misleading news, due to the great psychological harm that caused family members and those close to Bodraja.

At the end of the statement, the family called on the media and social media pioneers to show a spirit of professional and human responsibility, and avoid publishing any unconfirmed news, especially in such delicate circumstances.
