Al -Murrar heads the UAE delegation to the 51st Ministerial Council meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation

Istanbul on June 22/ WAM/ His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Al -Murr, Minister of State of State, headed the UAE delegation participating in the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Cooperation Organization in its 51st session, which was held under the title: “The Organization of Islamic Cooperation in a Change World” during the period 21-22 June 2025 in Istanbul.

The UAE’s speech stressed the importance of strengthening solidarity to face regional and international challenges, with a focus on dialogue and diplomacy as basic tools for conflict resolution.
The state’s firm approach to promoting peace and stability was also emphasized, the necessity of ending extremism and violence, and activating political solutions to crises, including the Palestinian issue, as well as the state’s categorical rejection of any attempts to forcibly displace the Palestinians, and that the permanent solution lies in establishing an independent Palestinian state on the basis of a two -state solution.

The state’s speech pointed to the great concern about the humanitarian crisis in Sudan, and stressed the importance of the international community to move firmly to facilitate the transition to a political process led by a civilian leadership independent of the army’s control, and the need to take urgent steps to protect civilians, and to facilitate the introduction of humanitarian aid urgently and all available means and without any obstacles, and not to allow any parties to the conflict to politicize and use humanitarian aid As a weapon.

The speech also expressed the UAE’s rejection of the false accusations by the Port Sudan Authority, noting that the decision of the International Court of Justice on May 5, 2025 rejecting the lawsuit against the state proves the falsehood of these allegations, stressing the continued support of the peaceful solution in Sudan, and its support to the Sudanese people by providing more than 680 million dollars as humanitarian aid since the outbreak of the conflict.

The word also reviewed the achievements of the UAE in the fields of technology, artificial intelligence and sustainability, as it launched a curriculum for artificial intelligence in government schools, and achieved advanced positions in global competitiveness indicators.
It also pointed to the UAE’s commitment to the green transformation through initiatives such as “Climate Deception 2050” and “Mohammed bin Zayed Water Initiative”.

The speech emphasized the priority of humanitarian action in the foreign policy of the UAE, and a reference to the establishment of the “Zayed Humanitarian Foundation” in commemoration of the legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul.”
