Director of the Atomic Energy Agency appeals to access to the affected nuclear sites in Iran

The Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, presented a briefing at an emergency meeting of the Agency Governor Council, in which he stressed the need for the agency’s inspectors to return to Iranian nuclear sites and verify their stocks. There is a special concern that Iran has feared 400 kilograms of uranium by 60%.
Under the conditions of the 2015 nuclear agreement with the international community, Iran is allowed to fertilize natural radioactive materials by less than four percent.
Grusi told the Council of the International Atomic Energy Agency: “Ferdo is now drilling, the main location in which Iran has enriched uranium by 60%, indicating the use of supernatural munitions; this is compatible with data from the United States. At the present time, no one, including the International Atomic Energy Agency, is in a position that allows it to have a complete assessment of underground damage in Ferdo.”
Grusi said that taking into account the high explosive load used in American attacks, it is expected to have very severe damage to the highly sensitive centrifugal machines used in uranium enrichment at the Ferdo site.
Several bombing sites are offered
Ferdo is one of the many sites related to the nuclear program throughout Iran, which has reported that it was damaged by the American strikes, which includes those in Isfahan, Arak and Tehran.
In statements made during the emergency session of the Security Council on Sunday, the director of the International Atomic Energy Agency said that although radiation levels remained normal outside these nuclear facilities, there are deep concerns that still exist on Bushehr’s nuclear station operating in Iran.
Grusi warned that any blow to Bushehr could lead to a tremendous radioactive launch throughout the region, warning that “the danger is real.”
Eleven days after Israel launched air and missile strikes on Iranian military and nuclear sites, reports of the killing of about 430 people in Iran, most of them civilians. According to Israeli reports, 25 people were killed and more than 1,300 others were injured by Iranian missile strikes.
A summary of the Iranian nuclear agreement:
What is the Iranian nuclear agreement?
JCPOA 2015 determines the rules for monitoring Iran’s nuclear program, and paves the way for the lifting of the United Nations sanctions.
• What countries participating in the agreement?
Iran, the five permanent members of the Security Council (China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States), as well as Germany and the European Union.
• What is the participation of the United Nations?
The United Nations Security Council resolution to ensure the implementation of the joint comprehensive action plan, and to ensure the continued obtaining the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency, has been applied to regular access to the Iranian nuclear program and more information about it, in 2015.
Why is the agreement considered in danger?
The American administration withdrew from the agreement in 2018 and re -imposed sanctions. In July 2019, he claimed that Iran had violated the borders of its uranium stock, and announced its intention to continue the enrichment of uranium, which poses a more severe nuclear spread. To date, the United States has not joined the joint comprehensive work plan.
