The Iranian president expresses to the Emir of Qatar his regret for the attack on the base of many

Iranian President Masoud Boukhshkian expressed in a telephone conversation with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, his regret for the attack launched by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on the Al -Kaddid air base yesterday evening, stressing that he was not targeting Qatar and its people, according to a statement by the Emiri Diwan.

The Emiri Diwan said that the Emir of Qatar renewed – during the call he received from the Iranian President today, Tuesday – his country’s strong condemnation of the attack on the base of many as a flagrant violation of its sovereignty, air field, international law and the United Nations Charter.

The statement added that the Iranian president expressed to the Emir of Qatar “regret the damage caused by this attack,” noting that “the State of Qatar and its people were not targeted by this process.”
