The UAE strongly condemns an attack on a United Nations mission in Central Africa

The UAE has expressed its strong condemnation of the attack that targeted the United Nations Multi -dimensional mission to achieve stability in the Central African Republic, in the Piraau region, which killed a member of the international force from Zambia and another injury.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the UAE’s strong condemnation of these terrorist criminal acts, and its constant rejection of all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism that aims to destabilize security and stability.
The Ministry stressed that targeting international and humanitarian missions is a flagrant violation of international law and the provisions of Security Council Resolution 1701, stressing the full support of the UAE for the pivotal role played by the mission in enhancing security and stability in the Central African Republic.
The ministry also expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the victims, and the Republic of Zambia and its friendly people, and its wishes for a speedy recovery of the injured, renewing its solidarity with the United Nations and its humanitarian missions and countries participating in international efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability in the region and the world
