200 young people from 48 countries participate in activities "Marrakech, the capital of the Islamic world, 2025"

Marrakech on July 1 / WAM / yesterday in Marrakech, the activities of “Marrakech, the capital of the Islamic world 2025”, which will continue until next December 5, started with the participation of 200 young men and women from more than 48 countries member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The program “Marrakech, the capital of the Islamic World Youth 2025” program includes a series of intellectual, cultural, artistic and sports activities, in addition to subjective meetings that concern democracy, peace, security, cultural identity, and the role of youth in achieving sustainable development.
The Moroccan Maghreb News Agency quoted Moroccan Minister of Youth and Culture Mohamed Al Mahdi Bensaid as saying in a speech on this people that the choice of “Marrakesh is the capital of the youth of the Islamic world for the year 2025” is a choice with a deep civilized symbolism, as it is a historical city that formed through the centuries a center of civilization, intellectual and artistic radiation, and contributed to the formation of the collective awareness. Spiritual and social as an ancient present with a focusing role in the history of Morocco and the Islamic world.
For his part, the head of the Islamic World Youth Forum, Taha Ayan, said that this initiative, which was previously hosted by the city of Fez in 2017, is an important opportunity to unify the youth of the Islamic world and exchange opinions and experiences in order to build a better future.
For his part, Mr. Ahmed Bensalman Al -Gamalmas, the representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in its capacity as the head of the current session of the conference of the Youth and Sports Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, highlighted that the city of Marrakesh is distinguished by its ancient history and renewed spirit that serves the Islamic youth aspects towards a bright and sustainable future.
In turn, the Director General of the Islamic World for Education, Science and Culture Organization (ISESCO), Salem bin Muhammad Al -Malik, pointed out that Marrakech Al -Hamra represents a real meeting place for Islamic civilizations, cultures and arts and that the history of Marrakech radioactive calls us to optimism, and gives us the opportunity to dream with our youth to pave the way towards a promising future for the benefit of Islamic peoples.
It is noteworthy that the “capital of the Islamic World Youth” initiative was launched by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Islamic Cooperation Forum for Youth to express a deep desire to link the youth dynamism to the privacy, civilizational, political and cultural of Islamic capitals and to become a strategic platform to enhance the active youth presence in the areas of development and innovation.
