Suez Canal: The movement of navigation is regular and was not affected by the drowning of the digger "Adam Marin-12"

Cairo on July 2 / WAM / The team, Osama Rabie, head of the Suez Canal Authority, confirmed the regularity of the navigation movement in the channel from both directions, and not being affected by the accident of the sinking of the digger “Adam Marin-12” in the Jabal Al-Zayt area in the Gulf of Suez, which is 130 nautical miles from the southern entrance to the channel.

The team, Rabie, said, in a statement issued by the authority today, that the accident occurred outside the navigation of the Suez Canal, and that the crisis management center is following the situation in coordination with the relevant authorities.

He also stressed the authority’s readiness to provide the necessary technical and logistical support, noting that the authority has an integrated rescue and maritime insurance system.

Today, the channel witnessed 33 ships crossing a total of 1.4 million tons.
