7 important procedures to protect children from household swimming pool accidents

Dubai Municipality called for the need to protect children from drowning accidents in home swimming pools during the summer vacation period, specifying 7 important measures to ensure their safety, as part of its continuous campaign to provide a safe and enjoyable summer environment for families and friends.

The municipality explained in a video that was aware of its official platforms on social media that these measures include:

Supervision: Control of children closely all the time and not to be busy with them, and not to allow children to run or jump around the pool.

– Maintenance: conducting periodic maintenance of filters, sterilization, cleaning the floor and walls of the pool, and ensuring that there are no cracks or leaks in the pelvis.

Safety procedures: “Ensure that children wear survival jackets, provide closed safety barriers, wear shoes, and verify the depth of the pool.”

Dubai Municipality aims, through these clear guidelines, to enable families to take the necessary preventive measures, to ensure that children spend enjoyable and safe times during the summer season, away from any possible risks.

The municipality calls on all members of society to adhere to these instructions and cooperate with it to consolidate the culture of safety, stressing that the safety of children is a collective responsibility that requires everyone’s vigilance.
