Rehabilitation of national cadres in library sciences through a training program in the United States

Abu Dhabi, July 5 / WAM / UAE students participated in the study of library sciences in the United States, in the program of the American Library Association for 2025 in Philadelphia, as part of a scientific mission organized by “Archive and the National Library” in cooperation with the “Scholarships Office”, amid the participation of more than 25 thousand people interested in libraries and their sciences.

The program aims to inform the students of the latest practices and technical innovations in the library sector, as it included field visits to leading institutions such as “Congress Library” and “National Archives and American Records”.

On the sidelines of the conference, Dr. Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director General of the Archives and the National Library, with Bergette Winstiger, Director of Pennsylvania University libraries, discussed ways of cooperation and exchanging experiences in the fields of scientific archiving and preserving oral history.

This initiative comes within the framework of the rational leadership approach to support young competencies and the rehabilitation of a generation capable of leading digital transformation and applying artificial intelligence techniques in state libraries, which contributes to building a sustainable knowledge economy.
