Why does the United States insist on buying “Tech Talk” from China?

US President Donald Trump’s announcement that Washington has started talks with Beijing on a possible deal to purchase the “Tech Tok” application, widespread questions about the US motives behind this step, especially while adhering to the transfer of the ownership of the famous application from the Chinese company “byte Dance” to American parties.
This advertisement comes at a time when technological and commercial tensions are escalating between the United States and China, where Teak -Tok is seen as a new strategic confrontation scene, which exceeds entertainment to contact national security concepts, control of data, and digital excellence.

Trump’s comments … and close conversations
US President Donald Trump said in a press statement that “his administration will start official talks with China in the coming weeks regarding the future of the Tek Tok application,” stressing that “the goal is to reach a deal that guarantees the transfer of control to reliable American bodies.”

“We want a safe application that is not used for spying or to influence our youth … China should not control this type of influential platform,” Trump added.

This statement re -ignited the controversy over the future of the application, which is popular with American users, especially from the youth category.

Tek Tok .. from an entertainment platform to a security threat?
The United States has always seen that Tech Talk is not just a short videos, but a huge gateway to collect sensitive data for American users, and this data may be vulnerable to access by the Chinese government under the Chinese laws of technology companies.

The US Department of Justice, earlier, classified Tek Tok on “high -risk” platforms, noting “real concerns about the exploitation of data for intelligence purposes.”

Last March, the Congress passed a law giving the Bait Dance company until January 2025 to sell the application or face the full ban in the United States.

Who will buy tuk?
According to American media reports, talk is currently taking place about a group of “American wealthy” in negotiations to acquire Tick -tuk inside the American market. Trump has confirmed the existence of a “strong group” of investors ready to complete the deal, without disclosing their names.

Among the names previously offered, the Microsoft software giant and other investment companies may have an interest in digital content and technological infrastructure provided by Tech Talk.

China rejects forced sale
For its part, China categorically rejects what it describes as “forced sales”, considering that the American pressure on the byte Dance is a dangerous precedent in international trade, and it may open the door to new conflicts in the World Trade Organization.

A spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said earlier that “the United States’s attempts to coercion a private company to sell its assets to another country, is unlawful and violates the principles of the free market.”

What next?
As the deadline set in US law is approaching, the coming days appear to be decisive for the future of Tik Talk in the United States.

Either negotiations succeed in reaching a satisfactory deal for all parties, ensuring the continuation of the application with strict security guarantees, or that the White House goes towards implementing the full ban, which may affect millions of users, and trade relations between Washington and Beijing.

In light of internal political developments, especially with the approaching US elections, the Tik -Tok file remains a pressure card that Trump may use to enhance his image as a president defending national security, and imposes his conditions on global technology giants.
