The United Nations expresses its solidarity with those affected by the floods in Texas

The Secretary -General – in a statement attributed to his spokesman – offered his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, expressing his solidarity with all the affected people, the people of Texas, and the government of the United States.
In turn, UNICEF Executive Director, Catherine Russell, expressed her solidarity with the affected people, and said in a post on the X -platform: UNICEF feels great grief over the reports received from the center of Texas, and our hearts and ideas with those who have lost their loved ones and with those who are eagerly waiting for the missing news, including children.
Reports have reported the number of sudden flood victims that swept the US state of Texas to at least 82, and dozens of people are still missing.
The floods that washed away homes and vehicles began, after the water level in the Guadlope River highly 8 meters in less than last Friday, which left widespread damage in manufactured areas, most notably the “Mestic” camp for girls in central Texas, where at least 10 girls and their guides were killed.
