International Award for Arab Child Literature continues to receive posts until August 31

Sharjah, July 8 / WAM / The International Prize for Arab Child Literature is offered by EDA, which is organized by the UAE Council for Advisors, to receive participants in its seventeenth session until August 31, 2025.

The Council called on the authors, painters and publishers from different countries of the world to present their creative works in the Arabic language through the official website of the award:

The award aims to support Arab creativity in the field of child literature and enhance the presence of the Arab book in the global cultural scene, through content characterized by quality and innovation and takes into account cultural privacy.

The total value of the award is 1.2 million dirhams, distributed over five main categories covering the age groups from 5 to 18 years, and is awarded equally between the author, the painter, and the publisher in four categories, while the “adolescent” category “category” is devoted to the author only.

The amount of 300 thousand dirhams was allocated to support training programs to qualify young Arab talents in the fields of writing, drawing and publishing for children and adolescents, in order to keep pace with international standards and enhance cultural identity.

The award categories of this year include “early childhood” for children from birth to five years, “photographer” for the age group from 5 to 9 years, “Book of Chapters” from 9 to 12 years and “The Book of Advisors” for the category from 13 to 18 years in addition to the changing category for this year which is “realistic books” designated for distinguished Arabic works that inspire curiosity and enhance critical thinking and provide realistic content in methods Innovative.

The winners will be announced during the opening ceremony of the Sharjah International Book Fair 2025, in the presence of a group of writers, publishers and book makers, in continuation of the efforts of the UAE in supporting the culture of the Arab child and enhancing the role of the book in developing the awareness of generations.
