George Clooney’s Lebanese wife, Amal Alam Al -Din, imposes a “unexpected” base on her guests!
In a recent interview with the Glamor magazine, the 47 -year -old human rights lawyer, the importance of preserving private and safe spaces, especially in light of a world where privacy has become rare.
The couple lives in the English countryside, and they are making great efforts to protect their two children from media appearance. Amal indicated that she uses a “basket for phones” during family gatherings to force the guests to abandon their mobile devices.
“It is important that you have a special time with family and friends in an environment in which people feel safe to speak frankly,” she said. She added that motherhood increased her concern about media intrusion. She also stressed that pictures of their two children were never publicly published.
For his part, Clooney expressed similar concerns. In an interview in 2023 with GQ magazine alongside Brad Pitt, he talked about the continuous difficulties faced by celebrities in maintaining privacy, stressing that going out in public places is always accompanying the pursuit of photographers. He said: “We are dealing with serious issues and dangerous people, so we do not want to post pictures of our children.”
These statements come at a time when hope is the possibility of imposing restrictions on her travel to the United States because of her international legal work. Last April, it was reported that Amal and a number of British lawyers may be prevented from entering America under sanctions imposed by US President Donald Trump, because of their participation in providing legal consultations in the case of war crimes against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Secretary Yoav Gallant.
