Garmco launches its annual summer program for university training

In the context of its continuous commitment to social responsibility and enhancing its role in enabling university students, the Gulf for aluminum rolling (Garmco) launched its annual summer program for practical training, in cooperation with a number of universities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The program aims to support university students by providing specialized training opportunities in the various departments of the company, including production, engineering, human resources, finance, sales, information technology, etc., to enrich their academic experience with applied skills that contribute to preparing them for the labor market.

This program represents an extension of Garmco’s continuous approach to building bridges of cooperation with educational institutions in the Kingdom, and reflects the company’s continuous commitment to the development of national cadres.

In a comment on the launch of the program for this year, Mr. Fahd Al -Bassam, Executive Director of Administrative Affairs, said: “We believe in Jarmco that the youth are the primary engine for the future of industry in Bahrain, and it is our duty to provide them with real practical educational platforms. The summer training program is one of our strategic initiatives through which we contribute to preparing a generation of professionals who are able to innovate and compete in the labor market.”

He added: “We are proud of our extended relations with local universities, and we seek annually to develop the content of the program to keep pace with the developments of the industrial sector and its renewable needs, which enhances the readiness of students, and gives them a deeper understanding of the work environment.

It is expected that the program this year will include a variety of practical activities, field visits, and specialized workshops that were designed in cooperation with coaches and experts from within the company, to ensure the achievement of the highest possible benefit for the participating students.

It is noteworthy that, since its inception, it has played a pivotal role in developing the aluminum sector in Bahrain, and is one of the companies that put the human element at the heart of its strategy, which made it a role model in the integration between social responsibility and sustainable industrial growth.
