Pledge to compel parents to pay the tuition fees in government schools for the academic year 2025-2026

The Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates has adopted an official undertaking model that obliges the parents of students in public schools to pay the tuition fees for the academic year 2025-2026, in a move aimed at enhancing financial commitment and ensuring the continuity of educational services provided to students.

Excellence standards
According to the text of the pledge seen by “Emirates Today”, the guardian admits his commitment to preserving the academic level of his children according to the criteria for excellence in academic achievement, especially in the three basic subjects: Arabic, English, and mathematics.

The value of the fees
The undertaking determines the value of the tuition fees due annually in the amount of 6,000 dirhams for each student, indicating that the ministry reserves the right to take legal and administrative measures in the event of a breach of payment, including blocking academic certificates and results, and the student and not deporting the next class, in addition to suspending the procedures for transfer or withdrawing from the school until the settlement of complete financial dues.

Ways to pay
It also allows the pledge to the guardian to choose one of two payment methods:
• The first option: Paying the 100% full fees in one go.
• The second option: Installing the amount in three equal batches of 2,000 dirhams per batch, as follows:
• The first batch: before the beginning of the school year.
• The second batch: before the end of the first semester.
• The third batch: before the end of the second semester.

prerequisite
The ministry confirmed that paying the amount of 2,000 dirhams in an undesirable way is a basic condition for reserving the student’s seat for the new academic year, as it is part of the total required fees.

Administrative services
In the pledge form, the Ministry stressed that any administrative services, such as requests to move or withdraw from the school, will not be implemented unless all the required tuition fees are paid.

Completion of procedures
It is noteworthy that the document requires the signing of the guardian and the basic data record, including the name, the identity number and the phone number, in addition to the date, to complete the registration procedures for the next year.
