Sharjah hosts the 2nd session of the Arab Parliament of the Child, its fourth session, July 26th
Sharjah, July 13/ WAM/ The Emirate of Sharjah will host on July 26, the work of the second session of the fourth session of the Arab Parliament for the Child, at the headquarters of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, with the participation of delegations of parliamentary children from various Arab countries, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow -up of His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary -General of the League of Arab States ..
The session includes eight various activities in an atmosphere that reflects the spirit of Arab affiliation and the strategic orientation towards childhood empowerment.
This session comes as a culmination of efforts made by the General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament for the Child with full support from the League of Arab States and a continuation of the pivotal role played by Sharjah for the manufacture of quality programs and initiatives in the parliamentary and educational field for Arab children.
The anticipated hosting activities start with the arrival of Arab parliamentary delegations since July 22, after which a series of qualitative activities focus on promoting identity, developing skills and enabling the Arab child to active parliamentary practice within an integrated program organized by the General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament for the Child in cooperation with a number of government agencies and educational and cultural institutions in the UAE and in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The session program is witnessing distinguished activities, most notably the visit of the “quarter -century for the industry of leaders and innovators”, where children participate in the “Skills Laboratory”, which gives them the opportunity to try leadership tools, creative thinking and teamwork in a stimulating environment that keeps pace with their future aspirations.
The day that precedes the official session to hold an intensive training workshop for children’s members is devoted to children aimed at qualifying them to deal with parliamentary work tools, formulate interventions and presenting proposals in a way that ensures effective and conscious participation.
During the activities, the twelfth issue of the “Al -Sagheer Parliamentary” magazine, which represents a media window, will be launched that expresses the opinions and initiatives of children and contributes to documenting their parliamentary experience and publishing it on a broader scale.
His Excellency Ayman Othman Al -Barrout, Secretary -General of the Arab Parliament for the Child, stressed that organizing this session in the Emirate of Sharjah represents an extension of a leading Arab march in supporting and empowering the child and embodies an actual commitment to the industry of promising Arab leaders who believe in dialogue and joint action, and integrates with Arab visions in rehabilitating generations according to integrated programs.
He said that the expected hosting again confirms the position of Sharjah, an Arab creative platform in which the values of empowerment, identity and knowledge intersect, to make generations capable of leading the future with confidence and responsibility under the banner of joint Arab action.
