"Dubai Culture" She participates in the UNESCO meeting of creative global cities and displays its most prominent projects

Dubai, July 24 / WAM / The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority “Dubai Culture” participated in the sub -meeting of the UNESCO Network for Creative International Cities in the French city of Saint -Etienne, where it reviewed its latest projects in the field of sustainable design, as part of its efforts to enhance Dubai’s position as a global center for culture and creativity.

During the meeting, Kholoud Khoury, Director of Projects and Events at the Authority, presented a presentation on how to convert local natural resources, such as dates and palm waste, to innovative materials such as biomedic plastic and wood alternatives, stressing that these projects represent a practical model that combines heritage preservation and achieving sustainable development goals.

On the sidelines of the event, “Dubai Culture” participated in the “St. Itian International Design Biennial”, where works of Emirati designers such as “sand” work were presented to Kholoud Sharafi, and the work of “Tratta” by Rima Al -Muhairi, who provides a substance that can be decomposed by fish scales.

Participation also extended to “Trinley Covellia International Design” in Portugal with the work of the “Palm Rest” by the architectural photographer Majid Al -Bastaki, which aims to open new horizons for Emirati talents and enhance Dubai’s presence on the international scene as a source of creativity and innovation.
