The national team launches Austria camp today, in preparation for the “World Cup supplement”

As of today, the first national football team will inaugurate an external preparation camp in Austria, which will continue until the sixth of next August, as part of its preparations for playing its matches against Amman and Qatar, on October 11 and 14, respectively, within the Asian Attaché qualified for the 2026 World Cup.

The draw for the annex had placed “Al -Abyad” in the first group, along with the Amman and Qatar nationals, where the Jassim bin Hamad stadium in Doha will host the matches of this group, while the second group included both Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Indonesia, provided that the matches of this group will be held at King Abdullah Stadium in Jeddah.

The Austria camp, which is held within the first stage of the national team preparation program, is a good opportunity for the technical staff led by Romanian coach Olario Cosmin, to determine the capabilities of the players and their technical levels, especially with the joining of five new players to the team for the first time, after they starred with their clubs during the last period.

The camp is expected to witness intensive daily exercises, according to the technical program.

The camp represents a new challenge for coach Kozmin, as it seeks to achieve the maximum benefit from it, whether at the level of building a strong team with a new personality and identity, or in terms of addressing errors and negatives that accompanied the team’s march during the last period, which caused the results to decline, and wasting the opportunity to qualify directly to the World Cup, after he came in third place in his group behind the teams of Iran and Uzbekistan. Cosmin is also expected to work during the next stage to reach a state of stability in the basic formation of the national team, especially since the past period has witnessed repeated changes in the squad from one match to another.

Another preparation camp is expected to be held next September, within the last stage of the preparation plan for the expected entitlement.

The Football Association attaches great importance to preparing the team in the optimal way for the next stage, by providing all the technical and administrative requirements that the technical staff and the players need.

The technical staff had announced an expanded list of 29 players for the Austria camp, namely: Khaled Issa, Ali Khasif, Hamad Al -Muqbali, Adly Mohamed, Eric de Menesis, Richard Okunor, Sasha Iukovic, Kwami Kawaido, Lucas Bimanta, Aladdin Zuhair, Marcos Million, Khalifa Al Hammadi, Robin Philip, Ali Saleh, Luan Pereira, McKenzi Hunt, Nicholas Jimenez, Juston Suarez, Majid Hassan, Yahya Nader, Yahya Al -Ghassani, Fabio de Lima, Lithiri Silva, Caio Lucas, Bruno Olivira, Alvaro Olivira and Kayo Kanedo.

According to the list, the new elements that Cosmin summoned are: Nicholas Jiminiz (Al -Wasl), Richard Okunor (Al -Jazeera), Juston Suarez (Al -Ahly Youth), Robin Philip (Al -Wahda), and Eric de Menesis (Al Ain), and they are expected to form a qualitative addition to “Al -Abyad” in the next stage, but they need more time to complete Their colleagues.

On the other hand, Syrian media reported that the Emirates team will play a friendly match against its Syrian counterpart in the Emirates, on the fifth of next September, as part of the preparations of the two teams for the upcoming entitlements.
