The shooting of Argentine fans has nothing to do with the World Cup

Kansas police confirmed that the shooting incident in the state that killed one person and injured four others, including a car driver who was transporting Argentine fans, at dawn on Wednesday, was not related to the World Cup.
Police identified the suspect as 22-year-old Oscar Sanchez-Muñoz, warning that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
A group of Argentine fans told the Argentine newspaper La Nacion that they were shot while riding in an Uber on their way to the match.
One fan said: “The car was driving, then another car passed and I shot her twice.”
The passenger added that the driver then stopped the car, and they noticed that he was injured.
Police officers tracked the suspect to a home in the nearby city of Independence, Missouri, shortly after the shooting incidents, which led to a confrontation and a siege of the place.
After a fire broke out inside the property during the confrontation, police did not find anyone when they entered the house.
“We are very close to tracking down this person, and we want to make sure he is caught as quickly as possible,” Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves said during a press conference.
These incidents came 10 days after nine people were injured in a shooting incident that occurred four miles from the England team’s World Cup camp in Kansas City.
