The opening day also witnessed a difficult victory for the Algerian national team over the Tunisian national team (86-81).
The national team knew how to invest the quick attacks and teamwork, as Al -Abyad excelled in terms of decisive passes under the opponent’s basket (22 passes), along with the defensive hardness shown by the players of the team’s focal ones, whether Qais Omar or Ahmed Abdel Latif and Mamadou Nada, and contributed effectively to reducing the seriousness of the Kuwaiti team in terms of the counters on the basket, as the UAE players scored 45 success For the counted ball, compared to 40 for Kuwaiti players.
The “Al -Abyad” players also outperformed the success rates in the triple pomegranate, amounting to 37% and registering 11 out of 29 shots, especially since Kuwait players were satisfied with a success rate of the same rumors, which were limited to 26%, with eight of 30 attempts.
The team’s superiority was clear throughout the course of the meeting, after the “Al-Abyad” players succeeded in imposing their absolute dominance on the results of the first three periods by (23-21, 23-19 and 22-19), and put a comfortable difference that was enough to ensure victory despite the end of the fourth and final period in favor of Kuwait by (20-19).
Qais Omar continued his brilliance with the national team by obtaining the title of Best Registered in the match with 26 points, and the playmaker De Marco, who scored 24 points, starred for Al -Abyad.
The team is playing at seven in the evening today, a difficult confrontation against the Algerian national team, before undergoing tomorrow to the first stages of comfort, and returning tomorrow to complete its matches by meeting the Tunisian team, followed by a new Gulf confrontation that brings him together with the Qatari team, then return to rest next Thursday, and the curtain falls on his participation in the championship next Friday by meeting the Egyptian team.
