It is unfortunate that this player does not have a Brazilian passport!

The former coach of Real Madrid and the current Brazilian national team, the Italian Carlo Ancelotti, lavished praise on the Royal Club player, the Uruguayan Fede Valverde, after his remarkable performance against Manchester City last Tuesday and the massive 3-0 victory, stressing that he was not surprised by what the player presented during the match, and guaranteed him to score a “hat-trick.”

Ancelotti told the Spanish newspaper “Marca” about whether Valverde’s performance had surprised him: “It did not surprise me, because of him I saved my coaching license,” referring to the major role that the Uruguayan star plays with the team.

The veteran Italian coach added that the three goals he scored were amazing, revealing that he sent him a message after the match in which he jokingly said: “It is unfortunate that you do not have a Brazilian passport.”

Regarding his ideal squad of Brazilian players whom he trained, Ancelotti said: “Yes, in goalkeeping, I can put Dida and Cafu on the right, Militao or Thiago Silva as central defenders, Marcelo on the left, Casemiro and Kaka in the middle… And I will certainly forget someone, and on the right is Rodrigo or in any position he wants, and on the left is Vinicius, and in attack I have many doubts, as there are Ronaldo, Rivaldo, and Ronaldinho… there are many.”

Regarding the difficulty of preparing the final list for the World Cup, he said: “Preparing the list is not easy because there are many options, especially in attack, while the options are a little less in the midfield or full-backs, but there is the possibility of choosing players well for the upcoming friendly matches and the World Cup.”
