Future space
This edifice is a development of the successful “Future Space Center” that Huawei opened in 2022 in cooperation with the Saudi Space Commission.
The latter is considered the largest of its kind outside China, as it displays advanced techniques such as self -driving, 3D printing, and robots control through the brain. The exhibition has received more than 35,000 visitors since the opening of its doors to the public, and presented more than 270 training sessions to more than 10,000 participants over three years.
Human capital development
Commenting on the opening, M. said. Haitham Al -Ohali, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology: “Enhancing digital capabilities is a pivotal element in developing human capital, and a basic supporter of the growth of technical and economic sectors, and the Center for Future Skills contributes to providing an advanced training environment that focuses on developing digital skills in modern technologies, in line with the requirements of accelerated technical development and achieves the targets of Vision 2030.”
This launch comes after the joint announcement between Huawei and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology during the Lepe 2025 Summit earlier this year, which included the expansion of the “Future Space Center” with the aim of setting a broader framework that supports future skills.
The future skills center was redesigned to be a dynamic platform for building skills, exploring technologies, and promoting practical innovation. The center offers overwhelming educational experiences in the technologies of the next generation, including artificial intelligence, fifth generation technologies (5G), and smart applications across various sectors and societies.
Promoting cooperation
Speaking of the new center, Zhang Hwa, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said: “This initiative is a strong example of deepening cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia in the areas of innovation, education and technology.”
He added: “The Center for Future Skills reflects our common belief in the importance of exchanging knowledge and building capacity to advance sustainable growth. China and Saudi Arabia have always gathered a rich history of cooperation, and we will continue joint work together to build a strong digital future here in the Kingdom.”
New generation
“When we opened the” Future Space Center “three years ago, our goal was to inspire a new generation of Saudi innovators,” said Liam Zhao, Chairman of the Huawei Board of Directors in Saudi Arabia.
He added: “Since then, this inspiration has evolved into a real momentum. Here we are witnessing an exceptional motive for learning emerging technologies, which is completely in line with one of Huawei’s basic priorities, which is the development of local talents and the expansion of access to digital skills.”
He continued: “With the launch of the Center for Future Skills, we enhance our commitment to create a greater value and accelerate the future of digital transformation in the Kingdom.”
The center of the newly launched future skills is in line with the national strategy for building a digital society and developing a competitive knowledge economy.
The center will provide training programs, certified certificates and scenarios of an application that simulates the practical reality in order to enhance local capabilities and inspire innovators in the future.
