المملكة: The Minister of Interior and his French counterpart signs the executive document for security cooperation
During the meeting, a number of issues related to security affairs were discussed between the two friendly ministries of the interior of the two countries.
After the meeting, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud, and the Minister of Interior in the French Republic held an official discussion session.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud stressed that the discussions session comes to enhance security cooperation between the two friendly countries, in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister – may God protect them – in light of the distinguished relations that link the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic.
Drug smuggling networks
His Highness pointed out that the Kingdom’s government is keen to raise the level of cooperation and work with the French Republic; To combat crime with all its forms and tracking its perpetrators, confronting international drug smuggling networks and money laundering, and exchanging experiences between specialists in the two countries, noting what was achieved in the previous period in the areas of security cooperation.
During his speech at the meeting, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud congratulated the French Minister of Interior on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of France, wishing him His Highness the government and people of the Republic of France for the continued security, safety and prosperity.
Security cooperation paths
After the session, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud and the French Interior Minister signed the executive document for future security cooperation paths between the Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Interior in the French Republic.
The discussions session was attended by the Assistant Minister of Interior Dr. Hisham bin Abdul Rahman Al -Falih, the ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the French Republic, Fahd bin Ma’iouf Al -Ruwaili, the Director General of the Minister’s Office for Studies and Research, Major General Khalid bin Ibrahim Al -Arwan, and the supervisor of the International Partnerships Program, Major General Mohammed bin Ali Al -Habdan, the General Director of the General Administration of Legal Affairs and International Cooperation Ahmed bin Suleiman Al -Issa, and a number of senior officials in the French Ministry of Interior.
