The centers of the fourth industrial revolution in the Emirates, Malaysia and Rwanda enhance the governance of artificial intelligence

Dubai, July 31/ WAM/ The Fourth Industrial Revolution centers in the UAE, Malaysia and Rwanda signed a partnership agreement aimed at enhancing joint international cooperation in the governance of artificial intelligence, consolidating the moral standards of its uses, and employing its applications to serve individuals and societies around the world.
This partnership between the centers of the Fourth Industrial Revolution of the World Economic Forum Network focuses on enhancing the employment of moral, fruitful and influential artificial intelligence applications in various development paths and vital future sectors, through exchanging talent and cooperation in joint initiatives and coordination in designing responsible governance frameworks for the uses of artificial intelligence.
The partnership agreement was signed in the presence of His Excellency Omar bin Sultan Al -Ulama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Action Applications, Deputy Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation, and His Excellency Jobind Singh Dio, Minister of Digital in Malaysia.
This partnership comes after the announcement during the works of the fifty -fourth session of the World Economic Forum (Davos 2024) on the signing of a partnership agreement between the Fourth Industrial Revolution centers in the UAE and Rwanda to activate the cognitive exchange program in the artificial intelligence sector and achieve its future targets, which focuses mainly on enhancing cooperation between leaders, innovators and experts in the areas of artificial intelligence around the world to employ its promising capabilities in motivating the march Global progress.
His Excellency Jobind Singh Dio, Minister of Malaysia, in cooperation with the UAE and Rwanda in this ambitious initiative, which aims to bridge the gap in global experiences in the field of artificial intelligence, and accelerate the digital transformation for a more comprehensive and sustainable future.
He added that this cooperation reflects the common goal towards a future led by the responsible innovation in the field of artificial intelligence, expressing his hope that the fellowship program in artificial intelligence of the network of the fourth industrial revolution centers, and through the participation of knowledge, exchange of experiences, and cooperation in creating solutions, will constitute the major challenges and benefit from the tremendous capabilities of artificial intelligence for the good of our countries and global society as a whole.
For his part, His Excellency Khalfan Jumaa Balhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, which oversees the “Fourth Industrial Revolution Center in the Emirates”, stressed that taking advantage of the promising future opportunities for artificial intelligence applications requires unifying visions and coordinating efforts to benefit from emerging technology tools and digital and smart dealings in developing all future services and sectors, while achieving the positive positive impact is one of the basic pillars on which the center of the fourth industrial revolution was established In the UAE.
He added that these strategic partnerships contribute to accelerating the adoption of positive uses and useful applications for newer technologies such as artificial intelligence and the techniques of the fourth industrial revolution, and achieving sustainable and comprehensive future development based on technology, innovation, exchange of knowledge and successful models.
For his part, Etoj Goko, head of communication and government relations, and integrating partners in the network of the fourth industrial revolution centers in the World Economic Forum, said that this partnership represents an important achievement in the common march to harness the transformative power of artificial intelligence, and combines the joint experiences and visions of the fourth industrial revolution centers in both the United Arab Emirates, Rwanda and Malaysia, in a way that contributes to achieving interdependence within a global society of experts Artificial intelligence committed to enhancing comprehensive and sustainable progress.
For her part, Crystal Roggi, director of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Center in Rwanda, welcomed the participation in this global cooperation of the fourth industrial revolution centers, which supports her country’s diverse initiatives, including the “AI Innovation Laboratory” and “World AI in Africa”, and enhances collective capabilities to support advanced research, transfer knowledge and capacity building.
She emphasized the commitment to enhance the responsible governance of artificial intelligence and accelerate its practical adoption, and enable the global system of artificial intelligence to take full advantage of its chances to achieve sustainable and comprehensive development.
It is noteworthy that the Fourth Industrial Revolution Center in the Emirates, which was launched in 2019 in the framework of strategic cooperation between the UAE government and the World Economic Forum, and supervised by the Dubai Future Foundation, works to study the fundamental changes taking place in economies, societies and global policies in order to unify visions and coordinate efforts to benefit from emerging technology tools and digital dealings in developing services and discovering promising opportunities in all future sectors.
