The tourism sector in Ras Al -Khaimah continues its successes by setting record performance during the first half

Ras Al -Khaimah, on July 31 / WAM / The Ras Al Khaimah Authority for Tourism Development revealed strong results for the first half of the year after it achieved a new record in the number of visitors, which exceeded 654 thousand visitors with an annual growth of 6%, in addition to the increase in tourism revenues by 9%.
“Our accomplishments during the first half of the year reflect the strength of the tourism sector in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and the effectiveness of its strategic vision, so every step we take, from expanding the emirate’s air link network and projects to create luxury hotels to holding strategic partnerships and organizing various events and experiences, contributes to the consolidation of Ras Al Khaimah as one of the fastest tourist destinations Global growth.
He added that the emirate continues to move steadily towards achieving a sustainable and long -term value of its economy, society and visitors, thanks to its ambitious vision to attract more than 3.5 million visitors annually by 2030, stressing that these results reflect the success of Ras Al Khaimah Authority’s efforts to develop the continuous tourism in expanding the scope of air linking, enhancing the attractiveness of Ras Al Khaimah, a tourist destination and increasing its presence in the major regional and global markets.

The achievements also included the announcement of major hotel projects from international brands such as Four Seasons, Vermont and Taj and HH Collection as part of a plan to double the number of hotel rooms by 2030 in addition to signing many important partnerships to support tourism, including memoranda of understanding with the Fujairah Adventure Center, Huawei, Obin World and major digital tourism agencies in China and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and increase The number of events such as half of the Ras Al Khaimah and UAE’s rolling marathon, Hailand and Jess Red Ride for the first bicycle.
And the main markets witnessed a distinguished performance, as the increase in the number of adult visitors from India reached 25% on an annual basis, while the increase in the number of visitors from the United Kingdom reached 5% and China 9.2% and from Russia more than 7%, to witness Ras Al Khaimah the highest number of visitors during a period of six months at all.
The emirate recorded a big leap in the number of visitors from Romania (more than 65%), Poland (more than 56%), Uzbekistan (more than 47%) and Belarus (more than 30%), thanks to the expansion of the direct air linking of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, which is a pivotal factor in the growth of expatriate tourism.
The revenues of the tourism of the meeting, incentives, exhibitions, conferences and wedding parties achieved 36%growth, driven by luxury wedding parties, international conferences and incentive trips, as well as strategic initiatives that contributed to the consolidation of Ras Al Khaimah’s position as an upward center for events and incentives tourism.
During the first half of 2025, Ras Al Khaimah International Airport witnessed a great expansion in the scope of direct flights with flights from Katovichi’s airports, Warsu (Poland), Bochritt (Romania), Moscow (Russia), Tashkent (Uzbekistan) and Brag (the Czech Republic) directly to Ras Al Khaimah, which formed a pivotal factor in increasing the number of visitors.
This expansion is supported by the current strategic plan for the airport to enhance its ability to receive larger planes and improve the experience of arrival, which enhances its position as a major gate to the emirate.
During the first half of the year, the emirate announced the establishment of a new collection of luxury hotels, including HH Collection Ras Al Khaimah Island (which includes 156 rooms), and Vermont Al Marjan Island (250 rooms), and the Wellington Miz Marjan (336 hotel apartments) and a resort and resort and Four Seasons Ras Al Khaimah in the Arab Port (150 rooms).
The emirate also witnessed the opening of the Rove Hotel Al -Marjan Island, a modern beach resort that reflects the elegance of the local commercial brand and its distinction in preparing its facilities to suit the disabled and enhances the attractiveness of the destination.
These ambitious projects support Ras Al Khaimah’s goal in doubling the number of hotel rooms by 2030, among one of the fastest growth plans in the region.
The first half of 2025 witnessed the signing of a series of important partnerships to support the development of the tourist destination and expand its presence in global markets.
These partnerships included cooperation with the Fujairah Adventure Center, which was announced during the International Adventure Tourism Conference in April, which aims to shed light on the tourism ingredients of the two faces and present a joint tourism program for adventure lovers.
The Authority also signed the memoranda of understanding with the most prominent electronic travel agencies in China, such as Trip.com and Tongcheng, and four leading Saudi platforms, which are travel knights, Samart Holidays, Airport and Woyjo, which helps in meeting the strong demand from the Gulf markets and keeping pace with the trends emerging in travel.
At the level of digital innovation, the emirate signed a strategic agreement with Huawei to develop its capabilities in smart tourism and another with Open World, the leading web3 technology in an effort to launch a tourist reward platform based on blockchain technology to increase visitors’ interaction.
The Emirate of Ras Al -Khaimah continued to enrich its agenda from prominent sporting events during the first half of 2025, based on its awareness of the role of major events in enhancing the attractiveness of the destination and improving the quality of life.
The emirate hosted the eighteenth edition of “Half of the Ras Al Khaimah Marathon” with the participation of more than 10,000 counts and fans, and “Emirates Tawaf”, which returned again in its mountainous stages on top of Mount Jais, and the fourth edition of the Ras Al Khaimah Championship in the global golf tour “DP and Borld Tour” at Al Hamra Golf Club.
The Haylander Global Agency for Mountain Walking returned in its fourth version, polarizing participants from all over the world, in addition to the “Jess Ride” race for the first bicycle of its kind, which spanned 25 kilometers, as the contestants challenged the rise of the highest summit in the UAE, to contribute to these activities to enhance the position of Ras Al Khaimah as a high -ranking regional center for sports and entertainment.
