Sharjah begins the last stage of preparing for the new season

The football team at Sharjah Club returned to the country coming from Austria, after the start of the last stage of the preparation period, after the team set up an external camp since July 12, as part of its preparations for the new season 2025-2026.

During the camp, the team played three friendly matches, the first against the Ukrainian Carpatho team and ended in a 1-1 draw, and the second against the Qatari Gharafa and lost Sharjah with a goal without a response, while the third was with the Saudi youth team and ended in a draw without goals, at the end of the matches of the Sharqawi team in the Austria camp.

According to the schedule developed by the technical staff of the team, led by Serbian coach Milosh, the team players will be granted short comfort after returning from Austria, provided that the training will be resumed again starting from tomorrow, and the preparation will continue until the 14th of this month, within the last stage of the preparations for the new season.

Sharjah will play a fourth and final friendly match with the Khorfakkan team, on August 10, at Khorfakkan Stadium, at the end of its preparations for the new season.

Sharjah has finally strengthened his ranks by contracting with the Argentine midfielder Gernimo Pepletti, 32, with a contract for one season, as Pobliti is a great addition to the Sharqawi team due to the great experience that is characterized by it, in addition to his good knowledge of the UAE league, through his career with his former team Al -Wasl Club, and Pepliti participated with the “yellow” in the last season in 13 games, of which 10 games, of which 10 games “Basic”, and the minutes of play it played 935 minutes.

Pobliti began his career in the UAE league with Al-Wasl in the 2022-2023 season, coming from the Argentine Independent team in a free transfer deal.

For his part, the players ’agent, Walid Al -Shamsi, told« Emirates Today »that the deals that were recently concluded by the football company at Sharjah Club, headed by Khaled Issa Al -Midfa, and the technical committee in the club that includes veteran players, were made in a deliberate manner, especially in terms of attracting Argentine midfielder Jeronimo Pobliti, and the former Brazilian team player Igor Coronado, along with the Albanian duo Ray Manaj, and Vita Vitai, describing the Sharjah Club as one of the best clubs, along with Al -Ahly youth in the contracting process during the summer transfer period, especially since the club attracted players according to the team’s needs, with a focus on “how and not quantity” in contracts.

Al -Shamsi added that the contracts made by the club, and his knowledge of his needs of players in specific positions, in addition to the quality of the players currently – that the club maintained its current team and stabbed him with a good quality of the players, as well as the presence of a coach like the Serbian Milosh – qualifies him to be among the big four in the new season and compete for the league title.

He continued: «Compared to other club contracts in the league, Sharjah Club made balanced contracts according to the team’s needs, and it is in its interest, and although the player Igor is no longer the same as before when he came to the club in 2018 and was at the top of his giving, he is still a good player, as he knows the club well and also knows the Emirati league, which makes it easier for Sharjah a lot of matters.”

Al -Shamsi indicated that Sharjah also needs an additional work in the midfield as well as the center of the attack, pointing to the team’s need for a pivotal player, in addition to supporting the defense line.

He explained that the Sharjah Club was until the last rounds, the only competitor to Al -Ahly youth for the league title last season, but the club sacrificed the league in order to win the title of “AFC Champions League 2”, and the club excelled in that, and this is a great work.
