"Interior" She launches her initiative "A day without accidents" To enhance traffic safety

Abu Dhabi, August 11/ WAM/ The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Federal Traffic Council, in coordination with all police leaders in the country, launched its pioneering traffic initiative “Day without accidents” to coincide with the launch of its quarterly campaign “a safe academic year”, where it falls on August 25, 2025, the first day of the new academic year, thus raising awareness about the concepts of safety, prevention and traffic protection for all road users.
The initiative aims to reward those who are committed to undertaking and not to violate traffic and traffic laws, especially the status of the seat belt, not to exceed the specified speeds, give a sufficient safety distance, respect the priority and safety of pedestrians, and not be busy with the road, especially the use of the phone, and giving the way to the emergency vehicles, ambulances, police and official processions.
The initiative includes the participation of the community in promoting traffic awareness by participating in a special pledge via a link (and once committed to instructions and pledge, 4 traffic points are deducted for the registered before the 25th of August, provided that the points deduction are implemented on September 15, 2025 electronically without the need to review the service centers.
Brigadier General Hussein Ahmed Al -Harthy, Chairman of the Federal Traffic Council, said that this initiative comes as part of continuous efforts to enhance traffic safety by publishing and highlighting the messages, requirements and traffic laws, which were found to enhance the environment and security of roads and preserve lives and property.
The council’s keenness in cooperation with all partners to launch pioneering initiatives that enhance awareness by enhancing positive behaviors to encourage society to adhere to traffic and traffic laws, noting that the launch of such qualitative initiatives, which target the first day of the school year, is an affirmation of its importance and the priority it represents in securing the safety of children and students and ensuring a more secure and safe environment, explaining that the initiative includes awareness With a number of frequent violations and behaviors on the roads.
Al -Harthi renewed the call to make the most of these initiatives and interact with them, and to expand the participation of societal awareness and civilizational commitment to laws, stressing that the responsibility is common in preserving road security.
