“Digital fraud” .. an initiative to verify suspicious messages

The Communications Regulatory Authority and the digital government launched, yesterday, the “digital fraud hunter” initiative, a smart initiative supported by artificial intelligence aimed at helping digital platform users to verify suspicious messages in a simple, fast and safe way, with the aim of protecting them from falling into the trap of digital fraud, raising digital awareness, and promoting caution in dealing with electronic messages.
In its social media accounts, the authority said that if a user receives a message that he doubts is a fraudulent message, he must enter the website of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and the digital government to discover the truth of the message, then enter the “digital fraud hunter” initiative, raise the image of the message, then choose the language, and pressure to analyze the message.
The commission continued: “Within seconds, the result appears, and if the message is suspicious, an analysis and advice will appear, and if the message is apparently safe, the user will be alerted to remain cautious, and do not share any personal information.”
The “Communications Organization” explained that the initiative aims to detect and combat fraud in the telecommunications sector, and depends on artificial intelligence techniques for data analysis, discovering suspicious patterns, which contributes to enhancing digital security and protecting users through rapid and effective detection of fraudulent activities, increasing the confidence of users in digital space, improving the response to security accidents, with the aim of reducing the rate of fraud in the digital space, and promoting Safety and transparency in digital transactions.
And “Organizing Communications” confirmed that the data is completely safe when using the service, and that the procedure does not need to log in, and no personal data is requested from the user, but only send the message of the message. The authority stressed that the message analysis is carried out safely and in particular, calling for the analysis of any message that raises doubt, and sharing the results with family and friends, especially since the user’s awareness protects others.
The “Communications Organization” added that the “digital fraud hunter” initiative is an indicative tool, but the digital awareness and vigilance remains the first line of defense, and demanded the users not to press any link, not to open any facility, and to ensure through the “digital fraud hunter” initiative, attention to the signs of danger and the most prominent of which are awards offers, and data sharing offers, with attention to not sharing the verification codes “or TB” or any secret data with any secret data with A person under any circumstance.
The authority emphasized that it is following the development of fraud methods first -hand, the new methods and phrases used by the fraudsters, as well as effective cooperation with the public and private sectors such as telecommunications companies and technical authorities, and user notes are taken seriously as they are an essential part of improving the efficiency of the system.
