The President of the Arab Parliament condemns the declaration of Israel to agree to build 3,400 settlement units in the West Bank

Muhammad bin Ahmed Al -Yamahi, the head of the Arab Parliament, condemned the announcement of the Minister of Finance, the Israeli occupation entity, in Salail Smootic, approved the construction of 3400 new settlement units in the region E1 It is between the city of Jerusalem and the West Bank.

Al -Yamahi said – in a statement issued today – that this declaration is a blatant challenge to international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions, foremost of which is Security Council resolutions that confirm the illegitimacy of settlement.

He stressed the categorical rejection of the Arab parliament, with the aim of liquidating the Palestinian issue and the Palestinian presence and holding the occupation entity responsible for these actions and considered this step as a serious escalation of illegal settlement policies within the framework of a systematic policy to impose the fait accompli on the ground and Judaizing the Palestinian territories, which fully undermines the opportunities to achieve a fair peace, and destroys the internationally recognized state solution.

The President of the Arab Parliament called on the international community, led by the Security Council and the parties sponsoring the peace process, to assume their legal and moral responsibilities, take effective measures to stop these violations, ensure that the occupation entity is held accountable for its crimes against the Palestinian people, its land and sanctities, and the suspension of the dangerous escalation of the settlers’ terrorism, which will only achieve more escalation, tension and instability.
