Emirati women / economic leadership and global presence that enhances the development process

Abu Dhabi, August 22/ WAM/ Emirati women continue to write new chapters of excellence, confirming their leadership presence in the local and global economic scene, after it became one of the most prominent makers of change in various vital sectors, starting with traditional entrepreneurship to future industries and advanced technologies.
With the growing number of projects led by Emirati business pioneers in sectors such as sustainability, technology, hospitality, fashion and food industries, the stories of Emirati women’s success have become a local and international inspiration, which reflects the UAE’s vision in empowering women as a pivotal element in the sustainable development of the next fifty years.
The ambitious national initiatives such as gender balance, economic empowerment plans, federal and local projects supporting women’s entrepreneurship, and commercial franchise initiatives “Franchise”, contributed to creating a possible environment for business entrepreneurs, which contributed to their entry into new fields and expanding their presence to include regional and global markets.
In this context, His Excellency Badriya Al -Midour, the assistant undersecretary for the support services sector in the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, stressed in statements to the Emirates News Agency “WAM”, the ministry’s keenness to create a competitive business environment that stimulates Emirati women and entrepreneurs, through the development of initiatives and projects that support women economically, including the “Preparing for Investment” program, which seeks to grow the business of emerging companies owned For women, and the “Leadership Council” aimed at providing an effective dialogue space to enhance the contribution of women in the fields of entrepreneurship.
She drew attention to the role of the national program for small and medium enterprises and facilities that have contributed since its inception during the year 2022 to supporting and empowering business pioneers projects, explaining that the number of Emirati beneficiaries has reached 2432 Emirati business leaders, while continuing the ministry in organizing events and developing innovative policies to enhance communication with Emirati women and support their participation in various economic activities.
Her Excellency pointed out that the most prominent areas in which Emirati women work in the country are tourism, hospitality, transportation, artificial intelligence, technology, e -commerce, real estate, health, sports, retail trade and financial and educational services, and the ministry pays great attention to encouraging women to establish new and varied projects, especially those based on technology, innovation, creativity and modern technologies, in a way that contributes to building a competitive knowledge economy that is based On the national talents and projects with value added.
For its part, His Excellency Nour Al -Tamimi, President of the Emirates Association for Frances, a member of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, and a member of the Abu Dhabi Business Women Council, pointed to the strong and increasing contribution of Emirati women to the great economic growth witnessed by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, thanks to the vision of the wise leadership and their continuous efforts in empowering women and providing all conditions to activate their role in building a diverse, sustainable and knowledgeable national economy.
Al -Tamimi said that the Emirates Association of Franchise confirms its firm commitment to empowering women and enhancing their participation in the falcon economy, in order to achieve the vision of the rational leadership in the year of society 2025, as it is currently working on developing qualitative initiatives and programs that will be announced soon to empower Emirati women and enhance their presence in the Franchise sector, allowing them greater opportunities to contribute to the future national economy.
For its part, Bahia Al -Hosani, Director General of the Green Sustainability Center for Training and an Emirati business pioneer in the agricultural sector, stressed that the empowerment of Emirati women in the vital sectors has become a tangible reality, indicating their role in establishing the center and aimed at developing environmental and technological skills, in line with the national sustainability agenda.
She explained that the center attracted since its inception in 2020 more than 1,000 trainees from various nationalities through virtual programs, while urban programs received about 500 trainees, noting a number of programs on which the center is working on, including the green entrepreneurial program, the environmental excellence program, education and environmental guidance.
She praised the support provided by the Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, which provided the center for financing facilities that included a easy loan for a period of 5 years without fees, in addition to the continuous consultations and training programs available to those enrolled, pointing to its role as a business pioneer in the agricultural sector and its endeavor to launch the “Green” project, which is still the study and taking the necessary approvals from the relevant authorities.
Al -Hosani stated that the project aims to turn the desert areas into green surfaces, by working on three main axes, namely, and protecting the environment from carbon emissions, and changing temperatures and humidity.
For her part, Mira Al -Naqbi, an Emirati businessman in the hospitality sector, reviewed her experience as an Emirati Chef, which resulted in the opening of several restaurants and works that specialize in developing the Emirati flavor and delivering it to the world to enhance cultural exchange between countries and peoples through the Emirati taste.
She pointed to her participation in international forums and official events inside and outside the country, including celebrations of the National Day in various countries, explaining that its local and international presence has been due to the support of the wise leadership that believes in the talents of Emirati women.
For her part, Samia Bouazza, CEO and Director General of the Mustablay Group, said that the UAE has established a legislative and institutional system that enables women to take leadership roles and contribute to the diversity of work environments, noting that “Mustablay Group” is one of the most prominent models for women’s contribution to a pivotal role in drawing features of growth and transformation in business sectors.
She pointed out that the personal successes that she achieved at the practical level in a country representing the best evidence of deep faith in the capabilities of women, and the keenness of the rational leadership to provide them with equal opportunities and real trust.
For her part, Fatima Ashkanani, head of institutional affairs at the “Data Center Treasury”, said that as an Emirati working in the field of technology, it witnessed how the UAE supports its women’s cadres from female citizens, especially in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
For its part, Dr. Khadija Al -Faqih, a strategy advisor to the Advanced Technology Research Council, said that the Emirati Women’s Day is a testimony of the UAE’s steadfast commitment to empowering women to be a partner in the formulation of the future, where today it stands in the first grades to support national priorities, and contribute to the formation of global discourse in the fields of research and development, and its merit has proven to lead the leadership of science, technology, innovation and governance.
For her part, Amna Al -Zaabi, a first analyst, Design Department in Masdar City, stressed that the Emirati Women Day is suitable to celebrate the exceptional achievements of Emirati women who contribute to their vision, flexibility and innovation in drawing the features of the future of the country, noting the pivotal role that Emirati women play in developing solutions to address climate challenges and contribute to building a prosperous and comprehensive system in “Masdar” where women make up 41% of the work team.
