The Emirati rescue team continues to extinguish forest fires in Albania

Tirana on August 22/ WAM/ The Emirati Salvation Team continues its efforts to put out the extensive forest fires in several regions of the Republic of Albania, where until today 21 specialized signs have carried out two specialized aircraft using two Black Hawk aircraft.
The fire extinguishing operations included 419 accurate water drops on fire foci, during which it used more than 737 thousand kilograms of water, which contributed significantly to containing and limiting its spread.
These qualitative efforts come despite the great field challenges faced by the team, which are the high rise in temperatures and the rugged geographical nature of the affected areas, and operations are carried out in close cooperation and continuous coordination with the competent Albanian authorities.
The team had started its duties in the Gramash Forests and the surrounding areas, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, to support the Republic of Albania in controlling forest fires.
Coordination meetings continue between the Emirati team and officials in Albania, to develop the necessary plans that guarantee the pace of firefighting operations, in conjunction with the continuous field monitoring of the areas where fire was extinguished to prevent their renewal.
