UAE bicycles ascends coronation platforms 3 times in European races
BERLIN – BRUSELELA – Madrid on August 25/ WAM/ Emirates XRG Bicycle team achieved a historic day in European bicycle races yesterday, after ascending to coronation platforms on three different fronts.
The duo Joao Almeida and Juan Ayuo starred in the fifth and eighth place in the second mountain phase, so Ayu succeeded in wearing the white shirt for the best young bike, and rises to the ninth place in the overall ranking, 12 seconds behind the Danish leader Jonas Venjard.
In Tawaf Renoy, the Belgian Tim Wilins rose to the final coronation platform after finishing the race in the third place in the overall ranking, confirming his strong return to the competition circle.
As for the Tawaf Lidel Germany, the Ecuadorian Jonatan Narviz continued his distinguished presence in his second crowning in the overall standings, after winning a previous stage, to climb with his colleagues to the podium as the best team in the circumambulation.
With this achievement, the Emirates XRG team confirmed its ability to compete in various major races, combining individual and group titles in one day.
