This came during a session titled “From the House, the story begins: Women, the family and the renaissance of the homeland”, within the sessions of the Emirati Women Forum, which was organized by the Dubai Women’s Foundation, under the auspices of the campus of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State and Prime Minister and Prime Minister Celebrating “Emirati Women’s Day”.

Sanaa Suhail praised the distinguished efforts made by Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to support women in various fields, as well as the organization of the Dubai Women Foundation for the Forum, and said that it constitutes an important addition that confirms the pivotal role of women, as a basic partner in the national development process, and a pillar of family stability and community cohesion.

Sanaa Suhail added that the Emirati women have proven over decades, their ability to combine their vital role in family care, and their active contribution to the economic, social and cultural renaissance, and based on this position, the Ministry of Family places empowering women in the top of their priorities, through programs aimed at enhancing their role in the family, work and society, adding that these programs include providing work environments that are friendly to mothers, expanding child care services, And promoting the mental health of women after birth, in addition to ensuring their equality in educational and professional development opportunities.

“We believe that the success of women means the success of the family, and the success of the family means the success of the country, and we will continue to work with all partners, to ensure a supportive environment for Emirati women, which enables them to perform their multiple roles with confidence and competence, in order to enhance the UAE’s position as a global model in empowering women and family together.”

She emphasized that the support of Emirati women is not just a social initiative, but rather a strategic investment in the future of the country. It is the first incubator of national values ​​and identity, the educator of generations, and the inspiration of society with its achievements, leadership and distinction.

She said that the ministry worked in its founding stage to develop an integrated strategy for the family, in cooperation with the strategic partners, and focuses on its vision on the established values ​​of the family as a basic factor to achieve a society that flourishes all its members, noting that the ministry focuses in the next stage on the involvement of all sectors so that the family is among its priorities.

On the challenges that the family is currently facing in light of the technical and technological development, the openness of peoples to some of them and the speed of the rhythm of life, she said that these challenges are not related to a specific country but rather many societies participate in, but in the UAE we are used to turning challenges into opportunities, and dealing with them with positive and optimism, and we believe that the family is the basic pillar of society.
