المملكة: Urgent amendments to the new maritime system .. fines up to 100 thousand riyals and independent committees for objections
I put off The General Authority for Transport Amendments to some articles of the commercial maritime system via the “poll” platform, in a move aimed at keeping pace with the organizational changes witnessed by The maritime sector , ensuring the advancement of the quality of the services provided, and promoting compliance with the regulations, in a way that achieves a balance between control and development, and supports the Kingdom’s competitiveness in the field of maritime transport. In the table, the nature of each violation and its transgression is taken into account, in addition to the strict or diluted circumstances, in order to enhance the justice of the penalties and its suitability with the nature of the violation. />
The penalties range from warning with granting a corrective deadline in the event that the violation is unfair, or stopping the license for a period not exceeding one year, or withdrawing the license or canceling it permanently, and imposing financial fines starting from five thousand riyals and reaching a hundred thousand riyals. It is not permissible to implement the penalties related to stopping the license or canceling it during the period of objection or grievance from the decision. Of at least three members, provided by a specialist in Sharia or regulations.
