The government of the Republic of Chad receives Emirati medical assistance to address the cholera epidemic

The government of the friendly Republic of Chad received 30 tons of Emirati medical assistance and urgent medicines to address the cholera epidemic, as this aid was delivered at Angina International Airport in the presence of Mrs. Zahraa Mohamed Issa, Minister of Social Labor, Solidarity and Humanitarian Affairs, and a number of Emirati officials and guiding.
In this context, Mrs. Zahraa Mohamed Issa expressed the thanks and gratitude of her country’s government for the UAE leadership, government and people for its leading global role to empower the health sector in Chad, stressing that these medicines and other medical supplies will work to enhance the efforts of government medical teams in combating the cholera epidemic, as the spread of this epidemic is a permanent source of concern for the Chadian people throughout the country.
She pointed out that Emirati aid embodies the highest values of synergy, solidarity, brotherhood and cooperation between the two friendly countries, and translates the joint endeavor to take immediate measures to prevent the spread of the epidemic among the various members of the Chadian society to ensure early recovery, noting that the Chadian government is keen to distribute this aid in a transparent in all regions to ensure the provision of the necessary and sufficient treatment care for all patients of different age groups.
In turn, Rashid Saeed Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Chad, stressed that Emirati urgent medical assistance to the friendly Republic of Chad comes within the framework of the close relations between the two countries, and reflects the leading Emirati human role in confronting various diseases and epidemics in the continent of Africa, especially the cholera epidemic that recently warned the World Health Organization in several African countries, including Chad, noting his happiness that such urgent aid comes Within the framework of the UAE’s steadfast commitment to confronting the spread of such epidemics on the one hand, and intensifying joint international efforts to provide the necessary and preventive treatments wherever it is on the other hand.
