The Women’s Union Association in Sharjah honors feminist personalities and community leaders

Sharjah, on September 2/ WAM/ The Women’s Union Association in Sharjah honored a number of women’s personalities and community leaders in appreciation of their distinguished giving and their efforts in various social, educational, health and professional fields and an affirmation of her continuous support for every Emirati woman seeking excellence and participate in making the future of the country during an event organized by its headquarters today.

Sarah bin Karam, the general manager of the association, delivered a speech on behalf of His Excellency Sheikha Aisha bint Khalid bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the president of the association, in which she expressed the association’s pride and pride in the qualitative achievements made by the Emirati women, stressing that this honor embodies the association’s deep belief in the pivotal role of women in building the country and contributing to its stability and progress.

She stressed that Emirati women have proven their worth in various work sites and responsibility and became a minister, ambassador, judge, engineer, doctor and leader, without being absent from their basic role as a mother and nanny for generations.

The association raised the highest verses of thanks and appreciation to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, in appreciation of her entrepreneurial efforts in supporting and empowering Emirati women since the founding of the General Women’s Union in 1975.

The association praised the prominent role of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, President of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, in supporting women and family, stressing that her Highness was and still is a symbol of leadership in societal, cultural and humanitarian work, and an example is followed in empowering women at all levels.

The ceremony witnessed various paragraphs and inspiring interventions, which focused on the importance of continuing giving and aspiration to the future with confidence and determination, as well as highlighting the honorable Emirati women’s models that contributed to the service of society and left a tangible impact in its fields of work.
