McLeri wins the Golf Open title and enhances its lead in “race to Dubai”

Dublin on September 8/ WAM/ North Irish cutting Rorre McLeroy cut a big step towards maintaining the title of “Season champion” in the DB World Golf tour, which is held under the world rankings of “The race to Dubai”, for the fourth year in a row, and the seventh in his career, after winning the title of Amgene Ireland’s open championship, achieving his 20th title in this round.

McLeri raised his score to 3992 points at the top of the world rankings of “The race to Dubai”, issued today, ahead of the second -placed English Marco Bing with 2743 points, before eight championships only of the end of the season in the UAE.

McLeri won a financial prize that exceeded a million US dollar barrier, after winning the title for the second time, since his first crown in 2016, amid great public support and strong competition with the Swedish Joachim Lagergerine, where they tied 17 strikes under the rate at the end of the four rounds, before McClry decided to win in the separation rounds with a result of 12 strikes below the rate, compared to 13 for his competitor.

The fourth round witnessed decisive moments, the most prominent of which was the 13th hole blow, which returned to settle in the hole in a dramatic way, in addition to the “Eagle” blow in the 18th hole, which made the result and imposed the decisive rounds.

McLeroy expressed his chances in light of the great support throughout the week, expressing his happiness immediately in the championship

Lagirgreen got 555 points after his second, to rise to the 18th place in the classification with 1267 points, while the Spanish Rafa Kapura Bello and Angel Hidalgo ranked third with 15 strikes under the rate, and each gained 281 points, to advance Pelo to 63 with 646 points, and Hidalgo to 73th place with 536 points.

The DB World tour is roaming the world under the slogan “The race to Dubai”, by organizing 42 championships in 26 countries, and the players compete to enter the list of the first 70 in the classification, to ensure qualification to the final qualifiers in the UAE.
The final qualifiers will be launched in the Abu Dhabi championship “HSBC”, which will be held at Yas Linux during the period from 6 to 9 November, followed by the DB World tournament, which will be held at Jumeirah Real Estate Real Estate Club from November 13 to 16.
