"Energy and infrastructure" International leaders look forward to the UAE experiences in energy and sustainability

Dubai, September 9/ WAM/ The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has informed a delegation of employees of the International Energy Sector Program, organized by the Government Cognitive Exchange Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, on the most prominent entrepreneurial experiences and practices developed by the UAE in the fields of energy and sustainability.
His Excellency Eng. Ahmed Al -Kaabi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Electricity, Water and Future Energy Sector, met the delegation of the program, while the Ministry team briefed those affiliated with the initiatives and policies that established the UAE’s position as a world leading country in the shift towards clean energy, and its initiatives to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.

The Ministry’s team reviewed the Emirates Energy Strategy 2050, the National Hydrogen Strategy 2050, the National Program for the Management of Water and Energy demand, and the program affiliates have known the entrepreneurial efforts made by the UAE in the field of low carbon flying fuel, and its initiatives in formulating the national policies of this vital sector, and listened to an explanation about the UAE’s role in enhancing the energy and climate agenda internationally, as it actively participates in international forums and conferences and conferences Like the Conference of the Parties “COP”, the International Civil Aviation Organization “ICAO” and the International Air Transport Union “IATA”, which establishes the UAE’s position as a global center for sustainable aviation fuel, and contributes to protecting the competitiveness of its air sector.
The visit included field tours, during which the program’s affiliates were briefed on institutional coordination mechanisms in drafting policy and innovative experiences in enhancing the efficiency of national companies and stimulating investments in renewable energy projects, which contributes to supporting sustainable economic growth.
His Excellency Eng. Ahmed Al -Kaabi emphasized that the initiatives of knowledge exchange adopted by the government of the UAE constitute a major tool for enabling governments around the world, through its participation in the leading experiences and accumulated experiences developed by the state, and also contribute to supporting the efforts of governments to adopt innovative visions and formulate proactive orientations for the future, by investing in building the capabilities and skills of the executive leaders participating in advanced programs.
He explained that hosting employees of the international program for energy sector leaders comes within the framework of the UAE’s keenness to support international dialogue and exchange knowledge, and transfer its expertise in developing advanced policies, in a way that enhances the process of sustainable development and gives a new boost to international cooperation in the fields of energy and sustainability, as well as the participation of the Emirates experiences in developing innovative policies in the energy field, and reviewing its efforts in accelerating the shift towards clean energy and promoting international partnerships.
