The “Al -Watan Cup” guides “Sharjah’s hand” the 50th title historically

The Sharjah Handball Team added its 50th title in its history, after crowning it as a champion of the (Al-Watan Cup) competition, by defeating Al-Ahly youth with a result (32-28), on Tuesday, at the Al-Nasr Club Hall in Dubai.

The President of the Handball Federation, Dr. Nabil Ashour, accompanied by the Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Club, Khaled Al -Midfa, and the members of the Federation’s Board of Directors and Sharjah Club to imitate Al -Ahly youth, the silver medal, the golden Sharjah and the championship cup.
The fingerprint of the Brazilian World Cup coach Tata in his first final with the “King” was clear in the style of Sharjah, especially the defensive organization that allowed the team during the first half in putting a comfortable difference and progressing at the end of this half by four goals (19-15).
With the start of the second half, Al-Ahly youth tried to return with the outcome of the match, but the hardness of Sharjah’s defenses succeeded in maintaining the difference and resolving the match in its favor with a score (32-28).
Sharjah owes his victory for the brilliance of his Egyptian professional Mahmoud Fayez (10 goals), and the international Tariq Shaheen (5 goals), while he did not intercede for the Algerian youth professional Zuhair Naim in obtaining the title of best registered in the match with 11 goals.
It is noteworthy that the first title historically for the Sharjah team came with the launch of handball competitions at the level of the country in the 1976-1977 season by winning the title of the “strong hand” league.
