In an Emirati partnership .. Comoros is witnessing the launch of a qualitative marine transport service to enhance interconnection and economic development

Anjuan, September 12 / WAM / Anjwan Island, in the presence of His Excellency President Ghazali Othmani, President of the United Republic of the Cambrony, witnessed the launch of a new service for sabules linking the moon archipelago in the East Africa region, which is the first service of its kind that also allows the transfer of individuals and vehicles.
This service will be provided by Sardal International, a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi Ports Group and the “Resources Influzent” company based in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which specializes in strategic investments with a positive impact in emerging and advanced markets.
The launch ceremony was attended by His Excellency Juma Rashid Al Rumaithi, the country’s ambassador to Moroni, and a number of senior officials.
This project comes within the framework of the “Sardal International” efforts to promote maritime trade, expand commercial operations in emerging markets, and focus in particular on the African continent.
Abdulaziz Zayed Al Shamsi, CEO of Sardal International, said that this step confirms our ability to provide integrated solutions to maritime transport, which meets the needs of local communities and contributes to business growth and advance economic growth in the region, following the directives of wise leadership.
Transportation services, whose operations will be managed by the “Nahwat Maritime” of the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, aims to enhance the interdependence between the region’s islands by providing a safe, reliable and affordable transportation for local communities, which contributes to improving access to markets and health services, in addition to stimulating the tourism sector.
These services will be provided through the new phrase “Yamila”, which accommodates up to 190 passengers within air -conditioned cabins, in addition to a load of up to 45 vehicles, and this service will link the port of Moroni, the main marine portal on the Grand Moon Island, in the city of Motsamodo on the volcanic Anjuan Island, to provide a faster and more reliable way to move between the two islands for each of the archipelago residents and visitors.
